Considering our current administration,Ongoing Series Archives the United States doesn't have a lot to offer the Royal Family in terms of photo opps.

At least, that appeared to be the case until the European premiere of Disney's The Lion King, at which — I kid you not — Meghan Markle and Beyoncé Knowles-Carter hugged.

Allow us to set the scene.

Rolling out an aptly Simba-yellow carpet, the Sahara-set remake debuted to British and European press, as well as the film's cast and crew, on Sunday at the Odeon Luxe Leicester Square Theater in London's West End. In attendance were numerous special guests, including the royal couple who happened to be fresh off a visit to Wimbledon.

Despite Markle's continued maternity leave (the Duchess of Essex gave birth to son Archie Mountbatten-Windsor in May), the pair posed for photographs and waved to royal fans outside the premiere like the metaphoric king and queen they are.

Then, it happened. Once inside, per Daily Mail reporter Rebecca English, the Duchess and Duke of Sussex made their way over to American royalty, The Carters, for a brief but world-shaking meet-and-greet.

Beyoncé, who voices Nala and sings an original song titled "Spirit" for the film, and Markle were the first to cross paths. Sharing an extended and utterly transcendent embrace, the two seemed to exchange a moment of disbelief that they were in fact meeting for the first time.

Notably, both have been outspoken supporters of one another for many years, and they remain important symbols of empowerment for women of color across the globe.

Shortly after [insert fanfare] The Hug, Prince Harry and Jay-Z joined the meeting.

Of course, handshakes, cheek kisses, and general admiration were shared amongst the group of incomparably excellent celebs, but what did the transcontinental royal cohorts have totalkabout?

Again per the Daily Mail, the four reportedly discussed new parenthood, with the Carters urging the Duke and Duchess to "always find time" for themselves and describing the royal baby as "so beautiful."

While Archie is the British royals' first son, the Carters have three children. (It was unclear if any of the Carter kids were in attendance at the premiere, although Blue Ivy, their eldest, was at the Los Angeles showing just last week.)

You can see video of the meeting as captured by an extremely lucky, nearby reporter below.

In the words of Simba, the rightful King of Pride Rock, "I just can't wait to be KingMeghan Markle, Beyoncé, Jay-Z, or Prince Harry. Really any of them. They're all great."
